I have often seen the logo "Scribd" but never delved deeper into this web 2.0 tool,. What is Scribd?

3-D patient models can open doors for healthcare industry

A Danish hospital is testing 3-D models of the body (IBM development). According to the report, doctors will now be able to make a 3-D image of the body and zoom in and out to their desired level of detail.

As a lay person it appears that doctors can view internal images without surgery. This can positively impact the level of care and hold the potential to reduce costs affiliated with surgery. Of course this is just in the initial step but I am hopeful of the promises this hold for our future healthcare.

The battle of the Operating Systems

It has been a while since I witnessed such fierce battle over desktop OS. Which of the new OS will reign supreme? There is the Windows 7 - a new promise by Microsoft to deliver on the short comings by its predecessors and there is Linux. The main question is do we really care what OS we run?
